With the British summer rolling in, many of us are looking to change up our hairstyles. We’re not the only ones, celebs like Katy Perry, Jessie-J and Nicki Minaj are forever experimenting with bold and vibrant colours on their luscious locks.
This year, will you find that you’re also ditching the safe and summery honey tones for trending pinks, purples and blues? Moreover, is this new colourful hair-craze, fierce or a fashion faux-pas? Personally, I have wanted to try something new and different with my hair for a long time, but have always talked myself out of anything too outlandish. But with so many popular figures taking the plunge and changing it up, I have decided to dive in too. If like me, you haven’t ever dyed your hair before, because you could never find something that would suit you, then dip-dying could be just the place to start!
This fun new trend is truly suitable for ALL hair and skin tones and you can be as daring or subtle with it as you like.
For a more natural look, why not blend your natural hair colour with a colour one or two shades lighter like Elizabeth Olsen or Bonnie Wright? Or just jump right in and go for pink like Lauren Conrad or blue like Kate Bosworth!
But how to achieve a celeb dip-dye on a budget? Give dip-dying a try at home with friends! You will find many helpful YouTube tutorials online. Another option is to get your hair dip-dyed by a trainee hairdresser as you can get the same great result for considerably less.
