If there’s one place we all need to drop into before we jet off on holiday or just for a little maintenance, that’s the waxing salon.

Now, bear with me girls. The waxing salon can often induce painful memories and traumatic experiences but I’ve found one place that will never leave you feeling like that. I’d even go as far as to say it’s the best place in London for a wax. That’s right, the best!

I’m talking about Strip, the most glamourous and professional waxing bar that I’ve ever come across. I’ve been visiting them for a few months and I have always left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Relaxed and refreshed aren’t the first two words that come to mind when thinking of wax. In fact, they would probably be the last,but Strip is a class above the rest. The whole decor of the salon and the brand in general is geared towards making women ( and men!) feel their sexiest. Each room has a particular theme and wax of its own. Be that the Berry Room, Olive Room or even the Chocolate Room ( which I am still to try but very much looking forward too!)

The atmosphere is very welcoming. All the staff are extremely professional and meticulous and put the customer at ease, which is essential when it comes to waxing.

Strip uses Lycon wax, which is specially imported from Australia and is highly renowned for reducing ingrown hairs, breakage, and the normal pain and redness of a wax. They use Hot Wax on intimate areas and Strip Wax for larger areas like leg.It smells good enough to eat it, leaves no residue and skin is left feeling baby soft. What more could a girl ask for? Well it gets better: not only are all the rooms beautifully decorated and cosy but they also have TVs in them! So you can lay back, relax, wax and watch an episode or two of Sex and the City or a romcom while your at it. It’s the greatest idea as it gives you something to focus on and doesn’t leave any room for those awkward silent moments when a stranger is applying hot wax to your intimate areas and you don’t now what to say.Now I can personally vouch for them and say:”Yes, it really is as painless as waxing can get.” When I went in for my first ever Brazilian, I was terrified but I can assure you all that Strip makes the experience as comfortable and quick as possible. The waxers are specially trained to use the Lycon wax,chatty and amiable, talking you through the process and offering tips on how to get the best wax in terms of aftercare and how to extend the time between waxes. They even offer spray tans, which I’m told are amazing.Another thing about Strip that sets them apart is the level of aftercare they offer. On sale in the salons are various sweet smelling scrubs, lotions and potions to make sure the customer is always feeling their best.Now whats the point of getting waxed if you can’t show it off? Strip has that sorted as well with their own brand of lingerie as well well stocking various other fun and flirty brands. It’s the one-stop shop to leave a girl feeling pampered.Strip has a massive celebrity clientele including Christine Bleakley, Ellie Goulding, Sienna Miller and Victoria Beckham, who swears by Strip. My first waxer even told me that she’d waxed Kelly Rowland! So if its good enough for these women then it should be good enough for all of us.

Strip has seven waxing bars in total, one in Bristol and the rest situated in Chelsea, Notting Hill, Soho, Essex, One New Change shopping centre in St.Pauls, and the newly opened concession in Topshop, Oxford Circus. It is slightly on the pricey side of the scale but in terms of quality it is definitely worth it. So make sure to check them out and let me know what you think..
