Burgers
This is a great way to save money if you are planning on having a BBQ with your housemates this summer. Not only are these burgers easy to make, they also taste nicer than the ones found in the supermarket.
Makes 4 burgers
Duration: 30 Minutes
You Will Need:
500g Mince
1 Small Onion
2 Garlic cloves
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
Method:
1) Chop up the onion into fine pieces and place into a mixing bowl
2) Crush the garlic, chop up and place in the mixing bowl with the onions
3) Add a pinch of salt and pepper for seasoning
4) Separate the mince into four quarters. Take a quarter and crumble it into the mixing bowl along with the onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Combine some of the mixture with the mince and form a large meatball, place to the side and repeat with the other quarters
5) Once ready to cook, apply pressure to the balls to flatten them into burgers and then place on the BBQ for ten to fifteen minutes or until cooked, making sure to flip them over every so often
6) Before serving make a small incision into the centre of the burger to ensure they are fully cooked. If they are still pink in the middle leave them to cook for a further five minutes.
