Durham University Editor’s Letter

Welcome to Durham University’s My Uni page. Durham is a multi-campus university located in the north of England, and on this page you will find a variety of articles written by Durham students. We want our words to both entertain and challenge, but above all we would like to share our views and experiences with you and we hope you enjoy reading them.

With its winding, cobbled streets, surplus of quaint coffee shops and the breathtaking cathedral, it is easy to get lost in the magic and history of Durham; and as students here, we are lucky enough to have this privilege on a daily basis. Outside of academia, Durham students are known for excelling in sport, theatre, music and journalism – to name a few – and on this page we aim to present you with our Durham experience.

From our take on current news stories to light-hearted pieces on events and nights out, we will provide a range of journalism to take your fancy. To cite an old cliché, we work hard but we play harder; at Durham there is always something happening, and because of this, there is always something to write about.

Our aim is to provide a selection of writing which is diverse, vibrant and has something for everyone. Whether you found this page by chance or came searching for it, we hope you stay a while and take some pleasure in what we’ve written.
