City University was founded in 1894 and it still stands out, being home to one of the United Kingdom’s top journalism departments and to seven specialist schools. It is in the top five per cent of global universities according to Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2011/12. City is located in the heart of London, close to the capital’s leading financial, legal, media and medical institutions.
Here, we accept everyday challenges and we confront life as Londoners. It’s this winning mix of a high ranking and central position that keeps City in contact with everything worth knowing about in London. Located in Islington, the university provides a great environment both for studying and having fun. But City University teaches you about life too. A multiethnic student population helps you understand every culture, while bustling student organisations encourage you to get involved.
As I have already said in a previous article, here at City I’m having the time of my life. During my time as Editor on this page, I will make sure you, my readers, will have it too. On City University’s MyUni page you will find everything regarding life at City and in London, the best nightlife, the cheapest deals and the coolest events. However, this doesn’t mean we don’t care about other topics. Everything connected to politics, decisions, issues and debates involving our university will always be welcome on City’s page.
If you like writing and you’re looking for a place to share your ideas, experience or multimedia material, don’t hesitate to contact me and you’ll be welcome on our team!
