Brangelina Announce Engagement

It seems only fitting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have announced their engagement on Friday the 13th. The non-conventional couple met on the set of ‘Mr & Mrs Smith’ in 2004, and have now been together for seven years, with six children.

Robert Procop, the couple’s private jeweller, today announced that he had designed an engagement ring for Jolie , saying that Pitt was heavily involved in the process and had a very specific design in mind for the ring. ‘Each diamond’, Procop added, ‘is of the highest gem quality’.

Angelina Jolie, 36, and Brad Pitt, 48, originally claimed they would not marry until same-sex marriage was legalized in America, claiming they did not want to marry until everyone else could. However, as time went by marriage became of increasing importance to Brangelina’s six children, who, according to Angelina would ask why they weren’t married, like ‘Shrek and Fiona’.

Pitt’s spokeswoman later confirmed Procop’s claims, saying ‘It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.’

So, after seven years Brad finally put a ring on it. Congratulations to Brangelina, and I, for one, cannot wait to see the wedding pics!
